Parkhill, Smith & Cooper announced on Thursday that Arlington-based Schrickel, Rollins and Associates Inc., has merged with PSC, giving the firm its 10th different office location.
Arlington will be PSC’s second office in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, alongside Frisco. PSC also has Texas offices in Abilene, Amarillo, Austin, El Paso, Lubbock and Midland as well as New Mexico offices in Las Cruces and Rio Rancho.
“This felt like a natural move for our two firms given our history of working with one another and the wealth of knowledge between the two,” said SRA President Victor Baxter. “By joining with PSC, our design professionals will be able to extend into new markets and business opportunities, and it gives us the ability to provide a broader range of services to our existing clients.
“This blending of these two strong firms into one creates a broader reach and expanded capabilities that will benefit our clients and the quality of our projects.”
The merger between the two firms adds to PSC’s growing presence in the DFW area alongside the well-known civil engineering and landscape architecture firm. PSC and SRA had joined together on numerous projects in the past. SRA adds more than 60 years of project experience and respected expertise as trusted advisers to the PSC family.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for PSC to continue to grow as a company by serving more communities in the Arlington and Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex,” said PSC CEO and President Joe Rapier. “By merging these two firms into one company, it strengthens our engineering capability and adds an even stronger design presence in landscape architecture, park development, site development and urban design for our clients.”
